Kenneth E. “Ken” Mitchell, age 68, of Kenosha passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ken was born on April 26, 1950 in Kenosha to Clarence and Grace Mitchell. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Tremper High School in 1969. Ken started working for AMC in 1969 until his retirement in 2002 and was a member of the U.A.W. Local 72. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Sergeant from February 4, 1970 until his honorable discharge on October 27, 1973 and he served for two years on the Rhein-Main Air Base in Germany. Ken married Charlotte Kaiser in Waukegan, IL on January 23, 1976. Ken loved riding motorcycles, was an avid fan of sprint car racing and enjoyed vintage automobiles and car shows. He loved his four-legged family, Abbey and the late Sheila, enjoyed swimming and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by, his parents; his brother, Gary Mitchell, a sister, Pam Holmen, and his grandparents, Clarence and Hazel Mitchell.
Ken is survived by, his wife, Charlotte; three sons, Adam (Christy), Joshua (Tawnya) and David (Tammy); seven grandchildren, Mitchell, Ethan, Brooke, Jocelyn, Zachery, Mckenna and Kaylee Hall; two great-grandchildren, Rylee and Braelynn Hall as well as other family and many friends.
Funeral services for Ken will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in the main chapel (4300 – Green Bay Road). A visitation with the family will take place from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Ken’s family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Hospice Alliance, Rachel Kumorkiewicz and Russell Dallia for the love and care shown to him through this difficult time.

To Kenneth’s family and friends, please accept my heartfelt condolences on your loss. I have found comfort in reading Job 14:14,15 where it shows that Jehovah God yearns to bring back to life the dead who are preserved in his memory. The Bible gives us a wonderful hope of living in a paradise on earth and seeing the resurrection of our dead loved ones. (Luke 23:43; John 5:28,29) May this bring you some comfort and strength as well, remembering that soon God will wipe away our tears and swallow up death forever.

I was very saddened to read of his passing. He was the best K-Town driver I had, esp.
after a trip to Milwaukee. He was taking me to Marquette Dental School and a young couple with a baby to a Dr. on the other end of WI Avenue. As we got off the highway near there people kept pointing and trying to talk to us. Ken found a flat tire on the passenger side and no spare! He dropped off couple and after much calling back and forth, was told to put me in a cab to my destination (with the fare coming out of his pocket) until they could decide what to do. I left him there not dressed for the cold and was only 3 minutes late for my appointment.
Other times (usually when I needed a boost to my sobriety) we would talk about his work with people at the plant or the UAW sobriety breakfasts.
But mostly he was a good listener if I was facing some medical treatment or other. I am glad for the time I had with him. RIP Ken.
