  • I have been so grateful to serve with Harry on the Kenosha County Jail Chaplaincy Board of Directors and to see him at Crossway on Sunday mornings. Harry was a committed follower of Jesus with a love for others. I am grateful for his home-going, but he will be sorely missed. On behalf of the Jail Chaplaincy Board and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, we express our condolences to Harry’s family.

  • Diane Moltaji says:

In the decades my family and I knew Harry, my sister Helen’s Father-in-law, I only saw a VERY kind man devoted to his Christian faith, spreading the Gospel, and loving all those people God put into his life. He truly is with Marianne for eternity in the House of the Lord. My prayers are for those family members & dear friends who will miss him so much during their remaining days on Earth. My prayers only ask for their comfort and peace knowing that Marianne & Harry surely are in the glory of Heaven. Diane Moltaji

  • Titus Mathews says:

Harry and I had the privilege of serving the Lord, through The Gideons International for the last 27 years. He was a “Bible man”. Harry always carried pocket Bibles with him and prayed for divine appointments to reach many recipients.

Brother Harry truly believed Isaiah 55:11 “…so shall My word be that goes out from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
Harry was faithful until the end to reach many with a copy of the Bible. Harry will be greatly missed.

  • Frederick E. Kreger says:

I am saddened by the loss of my friend and fellow Gideon Harry Rarick, but I am also over-joyed that he is along-side his beloved wife Marianne, worshipping in the presence of our Lord. My prayers go out to Harry’s children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many people who were blessed by knowing Harry, all of which are now grieving his passing.

Harry and I developed a friendship at CrossWay Community Church, which eventually led to my joining the Gideons through Harry’s guidance and mentoring. We spent many sweet and enriching hours visiting the hotels in Kenosha County to make sure they had enough Bibles for the rooms and witnessing to those present.

Thank you God for using Harry in such a meaningful and lasting way to win lost souls and bring you glory. I look forward to the day that I will again worship our Lord Jesus and Heavenly Father along-side my friend Harry, as I so often did at CrossWay.

    Love you Brother Harry.

  • Michael T Bartel says:

I am saddened and caught off guard by Harry’s sudden departure I know I will see him again.
I am grateful to God for the opportunity of knowing Harry he was a true friend to me and we shared a lot of time together praying one for another and listening to each other riding back and forth to church and bible study. I am sincerely grateful for his love of Jesus and his desire to share the Gospel he was the true example of what is meant to be a witness I loved him and miss him but as I said before I will see him again together in worship of Jesus our lord. May God strengthen and be with all who may be in sorrow of his home going but now we rejoice as well with the hope of our Saviour Jesus Christ.

  • Sue Cook (Scholzen) says:

My heart pours out to the Rarik family. Many memories have come back. What a wonderful man! God has another angel to watch over us. Love to all.

  • Harry Rarick was a kind gentleman who supported UBF ministry at a time when others easily misunderstood it. I remember him saying he didn’t know how to help his son, but UBF did. His meekness spoke volumes. Whenever he visited our church, I felt his genuine warmth spread out to each of us. He kept on visiting Chicago UBF until the end of his life, and every time I saw him, I felt uplifted by his smile, his spirit, and his serenity. How blessed I am to have known him and be encouraged by his presence. We often overlook how much another’s presence brings comfort to others. Harry Rarick was indeed one of those people the world around him was comforted by.
