So sorry for your loss. Worked with Wendy at Sanmina. I called her english. Loved her accent. She will be missed.

  • Adelle Bushman says:

This comes in shock to me. I know Wendy from her working days at Sanmina. Wendy had a strong spirit filled with laughter! May She rest in peace.

  • Carol Stapley says:

Wendy I remember the day you were born. I wasn’t allowed into the nursing home and mum called down you have sister. We lived in March then, with Mum, Uncle George, Grandad, Dad was in the army. Dad came home and we then moved to 3 different farms in 2 yrs. We settled into farm life at Yaxley. We both lived there with Mum, Dad, Uncle George. Dad left when you were only 12. Mum went on to meet Don but eventually she left to move in with Don.
You stayed with me Uncle George and by then Joanne. We had our ups and downs but we always stuck together through the good and bad times. This where you lived until you left and started your own family. Your first marriage broke down and after a period of time met Bob. I remember the conversation we had about leaving and being with Bob. You worried about Mum. You had to be happy and you were. There was never a day that went by and I thought about you. I will miss you more than words can say. The thought of never seeing you and hearing that funny fen American accent again is very hard to comprehend. You went to early Wendy and you will be missed every day. Your one and only big sister Carol. Rest in Peace Wendy.

  • Nancy Talley says:

Wendy and I have been friends since about 1998. What began as a working friendship became sister friends. Every morning before work at Manutronics then Sanmina we’d have our pot of coffee at Danny’s Cafe. Even after I left there and worked elsewhere, every morning at 5:30 you’d see us at Danny’s until schedules forced it to be just Friday mornings. Even then, no one better be sitting at ‘our’ table.
We had so many adventures together. Trips to special garden centers, trips to Baraboo and to Upper Michigan; birthdays, grandbabies and weddings; my college graduation along with my Mom and sisters; and unfortunately funerals. She was by my side when I lost my husband and 2 sons. We shared stories and cried together when we both lost our Moms within the same year.
We’d buy a few things at a garden center, put things in and take things out in her yard, then move to my yard and do the same. It would frustrate me when with all my planning and plotting where each thing should go, my gardens would trail behind hers when Wendy would just say “oh I like that”, dig a hole, put it in and voila, it was beautiful!!
As time went on we didn’t see each other or talk as often, but whether it be a week or a month, we could pick right up where we left off. I am missing her now and know that I always will. As others have said, Wendy had a strong spirit, she’ll live on in all of our memories.
    Sleep in peace my friend.
