Richard K. Brown

Richard Keith “Dicko” Brown, age 93, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on August 7^th, 2026. He was born on July 9^th, 1933 in Bloomington, Indiana to the late Grover Brown and Lelia (McCoy). On December 19^th, 1953, he married Arlis Grulke. They lived in Waukegan, IL, and moved to Kenosha in 2003. He had a career in wholesale hardware and retired on his 65th birthday. After retirement he worked part-time at Midlane Country Club and Thunder Hawk.

He is survived by his son Randall (Randy) Brown (Jodi) of Pleasant Prairie, grandchildren: Ryan (Lindsey) Brown of Grayslake, IL, and Jori (David) Sewell of Lake Villa, IL, and great grandchildren: Tatum Brown, Rowan Brown, Arya Sewell and Ava Sewell. He is further survived by his sister Mary Jo in Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his wife Arlis in 2023.

Services for Richard will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Saturday, September 12^th. Visitation with the family will take place from 10am until the time of service at 11am.

We would like to thank all the relatives and close friends who always asked about dad, offering their help whenever needed. A special thank you to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church family. Many cards and letters were received since Arlis’ passing which brought great comfort.
