Arlene Fruhauff

Arlene E Fruhauff, 90, of Paddock Lake, WI, passed away on February 24, 2021 peacefully at home with her family by her side. 

Arlene was born March 1, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Ben and Mae Stanek. 

Arlene was married to the late Elmer Fruhauff on May 30th, 1950 in Chicago IL. They resided in Crystal Lake, IL for 48 years.  During their near 50 years of marriage, they enjoyed dancing, playing tennis, watching football, swimming, traveling, entertaining family and friends. 

Arlene was an executive secretary for the Bill Rosenthal Company for 40+ years.  In 2002, she retired and move to Cedaredge, CO where she met many wonderful friends from the Catholic Church. Arlene also volunteered for the Cedaredge public school where she helped children enhance their reading skills.  Arlene also loved cross word puzzles and scrabble.  She enjoyed, line dancing, playing Bunco and wine club with her Cedaredge friends.


She is survived by her sister: Elaine Hunter Phoenix, AZ, her children: Pam(Tom) Cooper of Cedaredge, CO, Mike (Deb) Fruhauff of Fox River Grove, IL, Barb Lambe of Wexford, PA/Salem WI,  grandchildren: Brad (Katie) Fruhauff, Steve (Laura) Fruhauff, Jonathon (Sarah) Fruhauff, Chad Fruhauff, Jesse (Chris) Brannan, Stacy Lambe and 8 great grandchildren (Milo, Theo, Trent, Kyla, Owen, Alexa, Samuel, Kaitlyn), many nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aurora Health Care Hospice and Home Helpers for their care and kindness shown during the past two months of Arlene’s life.

  • God blessed me with the gift of having this wonderful woman as a dear friend. My prayers are with the family 🙏🏻 We know that she has left the pain behind and is with God but having her gone leaves a big hole in our hearts ♥️
