William G. Forster, age 86, a resident of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully Friday July19, 2013 at his home with his loving family at his side.

Born on September 4th 1926 inChicagoIL, he was the son of the late Andrew and Pauline (Boehm) Forster.

He would relocate to his families’ hometown in Europe and would return to theChicagoarea after the war.

He married Ruth Wimmer on June 30th 1951 inChicago.

He was employed by Schmeullor-Krohl for many years as a mason before he went into business for himself. He eventually retired from Schmeullor-Krohl.

He is a member of United Methodist Church in pleasant Prairie.

He loved nature, being outdoors enjoying his favorite hobbies such as; gardening, home improvement projects and especially watching the occasional rainstorm with someone close. As an animal lover, he often had a loyal companion by his side.   .

He is survived by his wife Ruth of 62 years; son Andrew (Patricia) Forster of Lake Zurich IL; two daughters; Lisa (Jason) Mallace of Salem WI; Christine Forster of Brighton WI; eight grandchildren; Matthew, Emily and Abby Mallace; Taylor and Mikayla Forster; Nadia Koenig; Tom, Pauline Paschelk and one great grandchild Valentino Koenig. He is further survived by one sister; Alma (John) Gardner of Chicago IL as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Lawrence and a daughter Julie.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 24th 2013 at 12:00 noon at Pleasant Prairie United Methodist Church in Pleasant Prairie. (8450-104th   Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of services. Burial will take place atRidgewoodCemetery inDes   PlainesIL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church would be appreciated.
