Vernon “Corky” Anderson

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Vernon H. “Corky” Anderson, 63, on August 4, 2026. He was a wonderful brother, uncle, and friend.

Born on June 29, 1963, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Corky was the son of James “Tiny” Anderson and Janice “Jan” (Israel) Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Bret R. Anderson.

Corky graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1981. He was a long-time member of the SPEBSQSA Barbershop organization, where he loved performing and delivering Valentine’s Day singing telegrams. Throughout his career, he worked at Anderson’s L&M Auto Parts and Palmen Motors, and later owned and operated Corky’s Pub.

His siblings survive him: Lori and Jim Parrish, Cindi and Ron Whitefoot, Jim “Tiny Jr.” Anderson (Florida), and Doug and Lea Anderson (Australia), as well as 8 nieces and nephews, 18 great-nieces and nephews, and 2 great-great-nieces and nephews.
