I recently heard of sly’s passing. I only knew him for a few years in the early 2000’s working at Powerbrace. Sly took me golfing my first time ever, and we went many times after that. Sadly, after Powerbrace closed down in ’04 we never really hung out much. Wow, it’s been almost 20 years since we hung out. It seems like a lifetime ago. I’ve since moved to Oregon and have gotten out of touch with my Wisconsin friends. Rest easy old friend. Hopefully you’re golfing in the heavens.

Dear Esparza Family: My husband ,Leo (Bucky) Lichter was a friend, boss to Sylvestre’s dad, Sylvestre Sr. I remember when Leo (Sly) brother was born, Sylvestre St., had him named after my husband, Leo Lichter, jr. The Esparza family was very close to myself and my husbnad Bucky, as they
called him. I am sorry I never really got to know the children and I did Lee and Sylvestre Sr., Just want you to know how much that family was
revered and loved by the Lichter Family Rest in Peace, Sylvestre, Jr. w/ your mom, dad, brother’s.
    Fondly,

Debbie, my prayers are with you and the family. You know how much I respected Sly, and cared about him like a brother. I will remember him fondly. We had some fun times together. One time especially that he always reminded me of is when we moved Billy, and Sly and I carried that small, but heavy pool table up the basement stairs. We had a good laugh over that. As you know my brother, Rob and Sly were friends from the Brass days and Rob cared for him very much. Rob always told me if I ever needed anything and he couldn’t be around that I could always rely on Sly and Billy to help me and knowing what a wonderful man Sly was I know that to be true. Recently we had talked about and I was looking forward to getting out and walking our dogs together when it got warmer out. Unfortunately, that won’t happen now. I like to imagine Sly and Rob drinking beer and reminiscing together. May they both Rest In Peace. May God bless you, Debbie, and give you strength and peace. Darlene
