Myron Stahl

Myron S. Stahl, age 70, of Racine, died Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Becker Shoop Rehabilitation and Memory Care.

Myron was born in Milwaukee on November 13, 1946 to Donald and Leta Mae (Thorpe) Stahl. He graduated from Milwaukee Washington High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Parkside where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. On January 28, 1967, he married Mary Ann Neist.

Myron’s hard working career was filled with various jobs. He was a paper boy for the Milwaukee Journal, a factory worker, a computer programmer, and a truck driver.

As a child, Myron was active in the Boy Scouts of America visiting Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. Later in life, he became an avid bicycle rider logging countless miles for charity and was a member of the Cream City Cycle Club. He enjoyed camping with his family. He was an active volunteer with the Horlick High School Vocal Music Parents serving as Treasurer, and was longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Racine serving on the Building and Grounds Committee, as an Elder, and an Usher. He loved to play Sheepshead and Cribbage, and loved watching John Wayne movies.

Myron is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Ann of Racine, and by their children Susie Krueger of Racine, Pattie (Tim) Malchow of New Berlin, Cheryl Nitz of Racine, and Brian (Susan) of Appleton. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Nicole (Steve), Danielle, Shelby, Jeremy, Amber, Andrea, Benjamin, Samuel, Joshua, Kameron and Alison and by his great grandchildren Samantha Rose, Rebecca, Sarah, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Brayden and Theodore.

Preceding Myron in death were his parents Donald Stahl and Leta Mae Stahl Bahn, his brother Ray Stahl and his sister Marge Price.

A memorial service for Myron will be held on Tuesday April 18, 2017 at 11:00AM at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (4340-6 Mile Road). Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday at the church from 9:30AM until the time of the service.
