I am the sister of Virginia Lawton. I have known Cindy just about as long as Virginia. I cannot believe that this incredibly wonderful, joyful, generous human being is no longer with us. I will always remember her constant smiling face with that laugh that matched no other! I enjoyed telling Cindy funny stories just to hear her laugh. So easy to be with, she made you feel as though she had known you since birth!. I will cherish her messages, emails and photos for ever. Not only am I stunned beyond belief, but also deeply saddened by her loss.

I was very sad to hear about Cindy. I knew her in our younger years when we met at Parkside. I had much respect for her – she knew how to have fun and enjoy life, yet was serious when necessary to accomplish things. She will always be remembered with affection and happiness.

  • Jayne Sanson- Jaraczewski says:

Dear John, Donna, Tony, Ann and Paula,

I remember growing up in our one-of-a- kind neighborhood on 86th with all the children playing and Cindy being one of the mature older kids we were in awe of. I am sorry for your loss. Obviously, Cindy’s talents and compassion were still awe inspiring beyond childhood! May you find peace in each other and in the knowledge that she is home with God.
    Love,
Jayne (Sanson) and Joe Jaraczewski and family

  • Anne Fitzgerald says:

I had Mrs. Stokeman for both 3rd grade & 5th grade. She was a wonderful teacher. Fair, kind and nuturing, but still with high standards. We absolutely loved hearing stories about her twin sisters and it was such a treat when they came to visit. I’m happy to hear she found someone who loved her as much as her students loved her. I hope that you find peace during this difficult time.
