Merry May Cox

        Merry M. Cox, age 84, of Kenosha passed away on Friday, December 17th,2021 at Parkside Manor with family by her side. Merry was born on May 6th,1937 in Ohio to Roy and Grace (MacMeill) Cole and she graduated from Hamilton High School in Metz, IN. She married Earl Cox on July 22nd,1972 in Indiana. Merry worked for many years in the payroll department of Abbott Labs and for 14 years at her sons business, at the Outdoorsman Sport Shop. She was a former member of First Assembly of God Church, now Journey Church. Merry was a very active member of Trinity Christian Church, even being asked to help minister to the congregation. She enjoyed singing, cooking and spending time at the Outdoorsman. Merry’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and especially spoiling her husband, Earl.

         She was preceded in death by, her husband; her parents; two daughters-in-law, Christine and Colleen Cox and two sisters, Sue and Janet Riddle.

       Merry is survived by, five children, Paul (Gail) Cox, Joseph Cox, Donald Cox, Phyllis Hell and Timothy Cox; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and two brothers, David (Carol) and B.J. (Kay) Cole.

       Funeral services for Merry will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Monday, December 27th,2021 at Trinity Christian Church (2600 – Lewis Avenue, Zion, IL). A visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service. An entombment will take place on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021 at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park at 10:00 A.M.
