Manoog G. “George” Kadamian (1926-2016)

Manoog G. “George” Kadamian, age 89, a resident of Kenosha, died Saturday October 29th 2016 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in Union Grove surrounded by his loving family.

George was born in Racine to Kerkor and Varken (Tavetian) Kadamian on December 27th, 1926. He was educated in the schools of Racine and graduated from Park High School. George served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the Philippines. In 1958, he moved to Kenosha and on November 15th, 1958, he was united in marriage with Josephine Aceto at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.

George worked at American Motors Corporation, retiring in 1988, and was a member of Local #72. He also owned and operated Kadamian Rug and Furniture Cleaners. George attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church where he served as an usher for 39 years and was a member of the Holy Name Society.

George is survived by his loving wife Josephine of Kenosha and by his four sons, Stephen (Barbara) of Rockton IL, Kevin (Leah) of Des Plaines IL, Craig (Deborah) of Fulton MD and Joseph (Rita) of Kenosha. He is further survived by his grandchildren Stephen, Alexander, Kyle, Danielle and Liliana and by his brothers Mikael and Parshag.

George was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Onar and Margaret.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 4th 2016 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (1919-54th street) in Kenosha. Visitation with the family will take place on Friday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of mass. Burial will take place at St. George Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to the dedicated and caring staff at the Veterans Home for their kindness, hard work, and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Veterans Home (21425 Spring Street Union Grove WI, 53182) or the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.

    Josephine, Uncle Craig, Aunt Debbie, Kyle & family-
    We were deeply saddened to hear the loss of George! I remember fondly his boisterous personality as a young teenager at Uncle Craig and Aunt Debbie’s wedding! What a wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time!
