Ethel Weiss

Ethel E. Weiss, age 94, passed into the arms of her Savior on Monday October 24th, 2016 at Home Inspired Senior Living, three months and 24 days after the passing of her husband Robert (Bob) of 54 years.

Ethel was born on December 22nd, 1921 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Ella (Juedes) and Paul Fleischer. She was educated in the schools of Milwaukee.

Ethel worked for Northwestern Mutual Insurance Company in Milwaukee until the time of her marriage. She met Bob at a ski club outing in 1960 and they were married at Bethany Lutheran Church in Milwaukee on September 30th, 1961.

Together Ethel and Bob enjoyed downhill skiing, water skiing and boating, camping, traveling, bowling and golf. They loved to spend time with family and friends. Sunday worship was always a priority and they enjoyed being active members of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church together for 54 years.

Surviving Ethel are her loving daughter Sandra (Chris) Anderson of Pleasant Prairie and her devoted son Craig (Michele) Weiss of West Bend as well as six grandchildren, Ryan, Nick and Ashley Anderson, and Amanda, Nathan and Aaron Weiss. She is further survived by her nephew Larry (Phyllis) Weiss, niece Carol (Paul) Powell and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Preceding Ethel in death were her parents, her husband Bob, two brothers Paul and Ralph Fleischer and a sister June Herman.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday October 27th, 2016 at 6:00PM at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church (5038-19th Avenue). Visitation with the family will be on Thursday at the church from 4:30 PM until the time of services. Burial will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery (21731-Spring Street Union Grove) on Friday at 9:00AM.
