Kenneth LaPoint

Kenneth H. LaPoint, 77, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2016  at Kenosha Hospital.

Ken was born on Jan. 16, 1939 in Racine, Wis. to the late Albert and Maggie (Etteldorf) LaPoint.   He was educated in the schools of Racine and in Texas before joining the US Army.  A devoted family man, he married the love of his life, Nancy (Smith) in Feb. 1959 and raised 4 wonderful children.  Ken was a father figure to many more kids than just his own.  He was employed as a foundry welder at Case, where he retired from.  He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time up north, where they spent the majority of his retirement.  He also loved bowling, playing cards, and spending time with his great grandchildren.  He will be truly missed by many.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy LaPoint, daughter Deb (Al), sons David and Randy (Shelly), granddaughters Tonya (Dave) and Meagen, great-grandchildren Mason and Taylin, and many other friends and family.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his son Kenner, his sister Florence, and his brother Bill.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Saturday, Jan 14, 2016 at Our Kenosha Tap, 3221 60th St in Kenosha from 2pm-5pm

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association “in memory of Kenneth LaPoint” @  www.alz.org
