Judith Grace Schwuchow

Judith Grace Schwuchow, a resident of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 22nd, 2024, surrounded by family at the age of 85. Born on May 11th, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bernice (McCart) Atwood. On December 13th, 1954, she married the love of her life, William Schwuchow, in Illinois. He preceded her in death.

Judy grew up on a farm, where she learned to work hard and enjoy the simple things in life. She brought vibrancy to those around her through her expressive singing, spirited cheers for the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers, and the lively atmosphere she created during card games with friends and family. Above all, Judy’s unwavering love for Jesus radiated in her every gesture, as she shared His love and kindness with all who crossed her path.

She is survived by two daughters: Tammie (Jim) Stephens of WA and Lynda (Jim) Storey of Kenosha; five grandchildren: Katie (Brandon) Walsh, Timothy (Josie) Schwuchow, Amy (Cri) Virago, Bethany Storey, and Megan Storey; ten great grandchildren: Isaiah, Olivia, Quinton, Ronan, Torin, Olivia, Adaline, Timothy, Dianna, Alice, and one sister, Norita Dillow, of TN. She is further survived by her daughter-in-love, Rica (Jeff) Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons (William and Michael), as well as one brother and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 2nd, 2024, at 11:00AM at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. (Southeast corner of HWY 142 and Green Bay Road.). Visitation with the family will be on Saturday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Moody Radio (WMBI) in memory of Judy.
