Deborah Ann Stark

Deborah “Debbie” Ann Stark of Kenosha, WI, passed away on the evening of February 21st, 2024 at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital after a brief illness.  She was 74 years old.

Debbie was the beloved daughter of Harold and Martha (Nuzum) Stark.  Born on August 31st, 1949 in Mauston, WI, she was the eldest of three siblings:  Daniel Stark and the late Denise (Stark) Reichmann.

Debbie spent the majority of her life behind the scenes working in the service of others in her clinical laboratory work as a phlebotomist until her much-deserved retirement.

During her retirement, Debbie frequently baked and worked on further nurturing her ‘green thumb’. An avid reader, she spent much of her time expanding her vast library of various types of books which became a never-ending hobby of hers.

Throughout her life, Debbie was the ‘go to’ historian in the family for her impressive knowledge of family history.  She had a great love for classical music and played for many years in the Kenosha community orchestra.  She also took to creating her own ‘works of art’ knitting and crocheting many blankets, mittens and scarves for her family and friends over the years.

Debbie was preceded in death by her loving parents Harold and Martha (Nuzum) Stark and her much beloved sister Denise (Stark) Reichmann.

Debbie is survived by her brother Daniel (Judy) Stark, nephew Nathan (Ericka) Stark, niece Laura Stark, brother-in-law Harry (Denise) Reichmann, niece Anne Reichmann, nephew Scott (Cavan) Reagan Reichmann, niece Elizabeth (Jason) Androsky, numerous great nephews, and many cousins who were also her best childhood friends.

The family would like to specially thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the ICU at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital for their efforts in caring for Debbie.

An internment ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM April 13th at the Lindina Evergreen Cemetery in Lindina Township, off of highway O, near Mauston WI.

A celebration of life get together will be held for family and friends at The Lodge – Mauston after the internment starting at approximately 12:00 PM, April 13th.  All family and friends are welcome, but please contact Daniel Stark (608) 231-1474 by March 30th so that a count of the attendance can be made.
