Thought for Eugene “Gene” Katt

  • Mark McCarthy says:

Although Gene was 30 years my elder, we became good friends and always enjoyed our conversations about elections, politics, history and the of course the Packers, Badgers and golf. Gene had a great spirit and vibrant personality. I remember his humorous Yogi Berra type quote when golfing with his son Greg, Gene exclaimed, “Greg, if you are going to golf, play golf, if you are not going to golf don’t golf”! I will always remember Gene, one of Greatest Generation vets who came home, got married, went to school, became a teacher, started a successful business and raised a family of good kids with his wife Delores.
