Elton Richter Jr.

Elton Richter Jr, a resident of Kenosha, passed away on May 13 th 2026. He was 82
years old.


Born in Kenosha to the late Beatrice Drysdale and Elton Richter Sr, Elton was educated
in local schools and graduated from Park High School. He worked at Tri Clover for 30
years, retiring in 1998.


On November 14 th , 1984 Elton married the love of his life; Bonnie Granger. Together the
two built a wonderful life together.


Elton was an avid coin collector, loved all kinds of cars, and loved fishing and hunting.


Elton was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Janice Balma and Phyllis
Giorno; his daughter Michelle Richter; and his great grandson Jeremiah Poe.


He is survived by his wife of 41 years Bonnie Richter; his siblings Nancy Vestal, Cindy
Rommelfanger, John Rommelfanger, and James Rommelfanger; children Michael (Jill)
Richter, Annie Richter, Katie (Terry) Holmes, Elton Richter III, and Ashley Richter;
grandchildren Carly, Nicolas, Kaylee, Joey, Daniel, Ryan (Ashley), Alex (Gerald), Aaron
(Jordan), Jace, Kenadi, Autumn, Lincoln, Maddie, and Noah. Elton is further survived by
11 great grandchildren.


He will be missed by all, even his loving dogs Tucker and Luna.


Services for Elton will be held on Wednesday, May 20 th at Lord of Life Lutheran Church
(5601 Washington Rd, Kenosha) from 5-7pm. The family ask all who plan to attend to
please dress casually.

    I’m sorry to hear of the loss!!!
    He was a great guy, Every time we saw him at VFW we always had great conversations & was a very interesting person I wish I had known that he collected coins because I too collect coins and would have loved to know that to get his input on them !!!
    He always had a smile on his face when reminiscing about old days when he and John W Zell had conversations.
