Elaine A. Duhame

Elaine A. Duhame, age 72, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022.  She was born on July 26, 1950 in Kenosha.  Elaine cared for many children throughout her life as a babysitter becoming close to them and their parents. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  

She has left behind many to cherish her memory.  Her children, Vance Slagle (Kathryn), Shawn Slagle (Cindy), Rebecca Baird (Tim),  Shyanna Duhame, many grandchildren including Tori Horak (Steve) and McKayla David and great grandchildren.  Siblings Shirley Free, Billy Pate, Bobby Pate, Chuck Pate (Barb) and Roberta Baumeister (Paul).  Elaine is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, and many friends that were very close to her.  She was called “Grandma” by many that held her dear to their hearts.

Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Clyde, her parents Bessie Frost and Marlin Pate, siblings Donald Pate, Dorothy Ashmore, Hilda Kurklis, and Jerry Pate.  In laws Dillard Free and Charlotte Pate.

The family would like to thank the staff at South Winds for their loving care of Elaine.  

A celebration of her life will be held on October 3, 2022 at the Moose Lodge, 3003 30th Avenue at 5:00 pm.

  • Oh Auntie! I miss taking you to the Dollar Tree and picking up a subway sandwich with double the meat, light on the lettuce, mayo and tomato on the way home :). We had great times together, saying I love you at the end to each other meant so much. I know you will be so happy with Clyde!

  • May you Rest In Peace with Clyde now you’re beloved husband who you cherish so much your now reunited, and both of you will be watching over your kids and grandchildren, great grandkids. We sure did have some wonderful times back in the day and the kids spending the night.
