Donald L. Ancevic, age 87, a resident of Kenosha, died Friday October 17th 2014 at Azura Memory Care.
Donald was born on May 16, 1927 inKenoshaWIto the late Louis W. andLorraine(Warren) Ancevic. He attendedKenoshaschools. Donald entered Navy Coast Guard Reserve in 1945 and proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard from March 1, 1945 to May 18, 1946. On May 17, 1947 he married Patricia A. Cogell in Waukegan IL. He was employed by American Motors Corporation and retired after 36 years on June 1, 1982 to fully enjoy his hobbies. Donald was a member of the American Legion and National Gun Association. He was an avid hunter (deer, antelope, pheasant, duck, geese, rabbit, squirrel, turkey and grouse). He was also an expert fisherman of Great Lakes and inland lakes. Donald was a fly tying specialist and sold flies and jigs to Tyson. Hunting wild mushrooms and asparagus were other favorite pastimes.
Donald is survived by his son Mark (Kathy) Ancevic of Colorado Springs CO and daughter Cynthia (Arthur) Egleston ofClermontFL.He is also survived by four grandchildren Jason (Tammi Finwell) Kublik, Bradley (Ann) Ancevic, Corey Kublik and Grant Ancevic and four great grandchildren Maxwell, Miles, Hunter and Dylan. He is further survived by brothers Russell (Barbara) Ancevic of Kenosha WI and Milton (Carol) Ancevic of Delavan WI.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, his parents Louis and Lorraine and his sister Jean.
Funeral services will be held on Friday Oct. 24th 2014 at 11:00AM at the Kemper Center Founders Hall in Kenosha. (6501-3rd Avenue) Visitation with the family will take place on Friday in Founders Hall from 9:30 AM until the time of services. Burial will follow atSunsetRidgeMemorial Park.
