Clarence “C.D” Mikus

Clarence “CD” D. Mikus, 74, of Kenosha passed away peacefully in his home Friday March 1,2024.

Born November 22,1949 in Kenosha, WI. He was the beloved son of the late Paul and Ortrude (Berry) Mikus. 

The Kenosha native attended local schools and graduated from Bradford High School in 1967. He earned an Associate’s Degree in Drafting from Racine Gateway. 

Clarence was in the United States Army. He was a Vietnam Veteran that served in the 25th Infantry Division. Clarence highly valued his service and attained Spec 4 rank. 
Clarence was honored with a National Defense medal, Vietnam Service medal w/2 bronze stars, Vietnam Campaign medal, Army Commendation medal, Combat Infantryman badge, and 2 overseas bars. Clarence’s character of service was Honorable. 

Clarence retired from Snap-On after nearly 30 years. 
He was very proud of his Native American and Czechoslovakian heritage. 

Clarence was a devoted Packer fan. 
He enjoyed golf, bowling, swimming, grilling, classic cars, playing pool, the lottery, music, and spending time with family. 

Clarence is survived by his wife Sherry, daughters Carrie (Myron) Glass, Nicole Mikus (Joseph Ebb Franklin), Theresa (Lance) Moon, his son Paul Mikus, grandchildren Myron Glass Jr., Trey Glass, Mari Glass, Alaina Franklin, his mother-in-law Genevieve McCormick. Clarence was deeply loved by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, friends and Coco his doggie. Clarence was known as “Big C” and Grandpa to many. 

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ronald “Butchie” Mikus, Dennis “Denny” Mikus, John “Johnny” Mikus, Father-in-law Stan McCormick and brother-in-law Kelly McCormick.

V.A. Hospital 

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday March 19th 2024 at 11:00AM at St. Mark Catholic Church in Kenosha. (7117-14th Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday at the church from 9:30AM until the time of Mass.
