Charles Sparkman (1920-2015)

Charles Sparkman, age 95, a former resident of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Thursday, October 22^nd 2015 at Winchester House in Libertyville.

Charles was born on September 17^th, 1920 in St. Louis Missouri to Harry and Minnie Sparkman. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and in 1961 he married Betty Lou Fincham in Chicago.

Charles started his professional life at Spinney Run Farms in Libertyville and then went on to run his own distributorship called Sparkman’s Dairy Service. In his later years Charles worked at the Menards in Gurnee.

Surviving him are his beloved wife of 54 years Betty, his seven children, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Charles’ name to Paralyzed Veterans of America or the Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.

Private family services will be held.
