Walfred P. Flesch Jr., age 80 a resident of Kenosha, died Thursday May 8th 2014 at FroedtertHospital after a short and sudden fight with melanoma.
Wally was born in Kenosha to Walfred and Leona (Hammes) Flesch Sr. He was educated in Kenosha schools and served his country in the United States Army. On August 6, 1955 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, he married Elizabeth “Betty” Burkee. Wally worked for 35 years for Johnson Motors and retired from there in 1990. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoyed traveling and going on gambling trips. What he loved the most was to spend time with Betty and their beautiful family. Wally and Betty were married for 58 years.
Surviving him are his wife Betty of Kenosha and his three daughters; Wendy Plens of AngierNC, Sandra (Bob) Dahlen of New Port Richey FL and Laura (Dave) Richards of Kenosha. He is further survived by his grandchildren; Rachel (Craig) Steinke, Brea (Josh) Sanders, Daniel (Amanda) Plens and Ashley Richards and by a great grandchild Ethan, as well as by his brother Donald Flesch of Kenosha and sisters Joan (Alan) Simons and Patricia (Ronald) Helton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Committal services with military honors will be held on Thursday May 15th 2014 at 11:00AM at Southern WI Veterans Cemetery in Union GroveWI.
