Tyrone Settersten

Tyrone (Ty) J Settersten (87) of Racine Wisconsin passed away on February 21st, 2026, surrounded by his loving family

Born January 28, 1939, in Marinette, Wisconsin to Thuran and Lillian (Krei) Settersten. Ty was a veteran in the US Army. On October 4, 1986, Tyrone was united in marriage to Amber (McCormick)

He worked as a machinist at Tri Clover, where he retired after many years.

Ty was a devoted father to Michael Badham (Cherie Webb) and Jeremy Settersten and a grandfather to Alec Badham (Aleesha Koslica). He is also survived by his brothers Gary and Richard Settersten, sister Juanita McCormick, brothers-in-law, Daniel and Howard McCormick and sisters-in-law Cindy Litzell and Renée Conniff.

Ty was a man of many passions, including pheasant hunting with his cherished companion Zac, kayaking, traveling, and creating lasting memories with his loving wife Amber. Tyrone’s love for chocolate and sweet treats was legendary, and his resourcefulness at fixing and repurposing items was unparalleled, a motorcyclist enthusiast, ty also had a unique preference for traditional travel maps, which often led to amusing stories. He will be remembered for his huge bear hugs and will be missed by many.

Ty is proceeded in death by his parents, his brothers Joel and Bradley Settersen, sister Sylvia Fisher, brothers-in-law William McCormick, Ronald Fisher, Ricky McCormick, Patrick Haugland, and sisters-in-law Rose Sanderson, Patricia Sanderson, Sherry, Moore, Mona, Wilkinson and Candace Hansen, and numerous nephews and nieces.

A committal service will be held on Thursday, February 26 12:00 pm at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park Chapel (4300 Green Bay Rd Kenosha).
