Thomas Larry Torgerson

       Thomas Larry Torgerson Sr., age 78, of Kenosha passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Hospice Alliance – Hospice House surrounded by his family. Larry was born on October 8, 1942 in Ferryville, WI to Richard and Pearl (Warren) Torgerson. He was raised in his youth in La Crosse and educated in the local schools.  He served in the United States Army from June 1967, in the infantry during Vietnam, until his honorable discharge in 1969. Larry married Dorothy Bonse in Pueblo, CO on October 9, 1969. He worked for over 30 years at American Motors/Chrysler until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the V.F.W. 1865. Larry enjoyed watching Nascar, a huge Green Bay Packers fan, but his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.

        He was preceded in death by, his wife; his parents; a son in infancy and two daughters, Dawn and Donna.

       Larry is survived by, four children, Lisa (Alex) Pappert, Tom (Nicole) Torgerson Jr., John Torgerson and Denise (Robert) DeLao; many grand and great grandchildren; two brothers, Peter (Mary) and David Torgerson; his sister, Rose Zakem as well as nieces, nephews and friends.

         A committal service for Larry will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park (4300 – Green Bay Road) in the old chapel. Full military honors for Larry will follow the service at the cemetery.
