Terry Thomas Krueger

Terry Thomas Krueger, 76, of New Munster, WI passed away at the Aurora Medical Center Burlington on July 19, 2026. To those who grew up with him, they may have just known him affably as “Porky”.

Terry was born on September 6, 1949 in Kenosha, WI. He was second born to Thomas and Maxine (Jensen) Krueger. He spent his childhood growing up in Bristol, WI where he attended Woodworth and Salem Central High schools. He was a member of 4-H and FFA (Future Farmers of America). During his junior year, his family purchased a dairy farm in Kenosha County; Oak Vista Farm was located west of Silver Lake along the Fox River.

On January 29, 1977 Terry married  Diane Vanderwerff at  St. John’s Church in Twin Lakes, WI. They were married for 33 years in which they had three sons.

Terry was a dedicated breeder of registered Holstein cattle. His life’s passion was advancing dairy farming through the genetic breeding of both Holstein & Ayrshire cattle, for specific traits such as higher milk yield. He worked the family farm with his father and eventually purchased the farm. After the sudden and unexpected passing of his father in 1981, Terry’s uncle, Glen Krueger helped with the day-to-day farming. He continued the farm life with his three sons working by his side. During the summers, he was involved with his sons’ entering show animals in the Kenosha County Fair as their 4-H animal projects.

The devastating drought of 1988 forced the sale of all but a few head of cattle. In 1996, after 30 years, he left dairy farming . He then drove truck for RKW Redi-Mix Concrete in Burlington until he retired in 2017.

Whether it be bowling, riding motorcycle, or attending cattle shows, Terry always enjoyed socializing with people. As a natural-born storyteller, he left those around him engaged and in good humor.

Terry is survived by his three sons, Adam (Jeannine), Kevin, and Mark Krueger, and his two grandchildren, Braelyn and Ty Krueger. Terry is further survived by his younger sister, Diane (Robert) Krueger and two nephews, Todd and Scott (Sarah) Krueger; as well as his 101 year old Aunt Edna Krueger and more extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen Krueger, and an older sister, Donna, who tragically passed away from spinal bifida complications before he was born.

Per his wishes, Terry’s memorial will be kept private.
