Tamara (Tammy) Marie Griebel 50, of Kenosha passed away peacefully at Froedtert South-Kenosha Medical Center Campus, on Sunday, January 08, 2018 following a long illness. Tammy was born on January 23, 1967 to Delmar F. and Rachel D. Griebel.

Tammy attended St. Thomas and Columbus Elementary Schools, McKinley Middle and graduated from Reuther Central High School. After high school she moved to San Diego, Ca. and returned to Kenosha after a few years. She later went on to receive her Cosmetology Degree from Gateway Technical College Racine, Wi. Tammy worked at Dairyland Greyhound Park, Pasqualli’s, several restaurants and Gateway Cafe, taking early retirement due to ill health.

Tammy loved boating and traveling to warm areas, Florida, Aruba, Hawaii, Mexico, Jamaica and anywhere with a beach and a pool. Recently to Wisconsin Dells and many days at water parks and Tiffany’s pool with her son Chase. She loved collecting frogs and dolphins and collecting Harley Davidson shirts and memorabilia.

Tammy is survived by the love of her life her son, Chase D. Crippen, mother, Rachel Griebel, sister Vickie (Thomas) Hessefort and niece Ashley (Daniel) Narens all of Kenosha, half brother and sister Delmar (Terri) Griebel and Mary (James) Mayhew. Tammy was preceded in death by her father Delmar F. Griebel, step mother Susan Griebel and brother Terry Griebel.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Kemper Center Founders Hall. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:30 p.m. Private burial will take place at a later date at All Saints Kenosha, Wi.

  • My sincere condolences to your family at this difficult time. Through the Bible, we are given much comfort and real hope. God assures us that He will remove the enemy death. (1 Corinthians 15:26). His son Jesus will awaken those now asleep in death. (John 5:28,29). We long to see fulfillment of these loving promises.
