Shawn Pollock (1959-2015)

Shawn Pollock, age 56, passed away at his home in Gages Lake Illinois on Wednesday November 23^rd, 2015.

He was born May 12^th 1959 in Sioux City Iowa. He spent 27 years as an auto body painter at Platinum in Gages Lake Illinois. Shawn never had children of his own, but he was an awesome uncle to his nieces and nephews. He was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan and would often travel to Platteville to watch their pre-season training.

Surviving Shawn are his sister Mary (Curtis) Durkee and his brother Kevin (Mary) Pollock. He is also survived by the nieces and nephews whom he cherished, Jasmin Pollock, Josh (Angie) Pollock, Kyle (Stephanie) Pollock, Dan Wade, Tim (Amber) Wade and Matt Durkee as well as many great nieces and nephews. He is survived in addition by his step mother Audrey Pollock.

Shawn was preceded in death by his parents and by his niece Loretta Pollock.

His family will hold a celebration of his life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated to honor Shawn’s memory.
