Sandra Josephine Freisheim (Jacobs) age 85, of Kenosha, passed away at Froedtert South in Pleasant Prairie on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022. She was born on November 27th, 1936, in Parkland, WA, to the late Kenneth and Stella (Samuelson) Jacobs. In 1956, she married James Freisheim at Trinity Lutheran Church in Parkland. She graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Master’s in music. She was a retired teacher, realtor, and well recognized opera singer. She was a mezzo-soprano and sang in many choirs nationally: Choir of the West, May Festival Chorus in Cincinnati, and the Cincinnati Opera. She was a past president of the Toledo Opera Guild and also performed with the Toledo Opera. She also performed with James Levine, Thomas Peck, James Conlon, and James Meena. Most importantly she was a faithful servant of the Lord.
She is survived by her sons: Hans (Susan) Freisheim, and James Freisheim Jr. grandchildren: Hans (Heidi) Freisheim II, and Tiffany (Steven) Schmidt, one great grandchild: Megan Schmidt, as well as many other relatives. She is preceded in death by her loving husband and parents.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Froedtert South for all their wonderful care during this time.
Graveside services will be held at Green Ridge Cemetery on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022, at 1 P.M. with pastor Brian Gorman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Christian Church in Kenosha would be appreciated.
