Thoughts for Robert Marques;

  • Soo sad to hear of Bob’s passing. He was such a wonderful, kind, fun & knowledgeable guy. I was blessed to work estate sales with him, through The Frightened Hare. We had soo much fun checking out all the collectibles too.
    Loved eating his meatloaf meals on Thursdays & enjoying all the Christmas decorations that he put up. He will be sadly missed by many!! RIP BOB ❤️👍🏻🙏

    I was so very sad to hear of Bob’s passing. I was fortunate enough to be great friends with Bob and Art. To hang out with them ,and watch them refurbish the 2 mansions they brought back to life. He threw the most awesome Christmas party’s every year, and his decorations were out of this world..someone playing the baby grand piano to the disco ball and pop music with Art out in the garage-the houses were always packed with guests.
    My girls grew up visiting them as well. Bob and Art would let them roam freely. They had the best times there.
    I was later asked to join him to work at Chez Bob’s, people came to try ( and come back) for his famous meatloaf dinners.We had so very much fun there.
    He collected so many different items over the years. His old vintage mixers lined the shelves of the cafe. His prized possession was all of his vintage Barbie Dolls. He loved thrift sales, flea markets, going out to nice dinners, with his varied variety of wonderful friends,and his cats.
    I’m going to miss you Bob, you were such a talented, fun, and loving guy.I will always have our memories to hang on to.Art needed you, and you needed to be joined with him again.Now, together forever!

    I am so deeply saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. Both he and Art were amazing people whose kindness could never be matched. I grew up idolizing Bob, and his friendship with my mother left a profound positive influence on our whole family. He is deeply missed.

    So sorry to hear of Bobs passing. We lost contact with each other, but he was my husbands Best Man for our wedding back in 1984. He was very close to my sister-in-law Joyce Strupp and family and even the Godfather of her son Rick. MANY GREAT MEMORIES. Very nice, caring man. ⚘😥🙏

  • Uncle Bob, you will be missed very much. Wish I could have connected with him once I was an adult. I guess everything happens for a reason. I will forever miss your humor, baking, decorating, and love for Christmas. My mom still rolls her eyes at how Rick and I go over the top at Christmas time. RIP
