Rose Mary Sikora (1926 – 2012)

Rose Mary Sikora, age 86, died on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Brookside Care Center in Kenosha surrounded by her family.

Rose Mary was born on February 25, 1926 to the late George F. and Alma (Smith) Irving in Kenosha, WI. She was a lifelong Kenosha resident and attended school at St. Mark, Lincoln Jr. High and graduated from Bradford High School in 1944. On October 16, 1954 she married Richard J. Sikora at St. Mark Catholic Church. Rose Mary was employed as a seamstress at Simmons for 9 years. She was a devoted homemaker. She was fond of sewing, embroidery and cooking. She traveled to Hawaii and England and enjoyed visiting National Parks.

Rose Mary is survived by her husband Richard of Kenosha, and her three children, Steven (Lynette Erickson) Sikora (St. Paul, MN), Sheryl Sikora (Minneapolis, MN) and Scott (Christine Becker) Sikora (Kenosha, WI). She is also survived by four step grandchildren Stafford Norris, Joshua Norris, Anji Becker and Nathaniel Becker and two step great grandchildren Paige Norris and Joshua Norris Jr. She is further survived by her brother Arthur (Rita Dagenbach) Irving.

Rose Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two infant daughters Lisa Marie and Lori Ann and her sister Marguerite Halmo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church in Kenosha. (7117-14th Avenue) A visitation will be held on Saturday in the church starting at 9:00AM immediately prior and leading up to the service. Burial will follow at St. George Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
