Rose Marie Huetten, age 89 of Kenosha entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
Born in Kenosha on October 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Helen (Kleszczewski) Bentkowski. She attended St. Casimir Elementary School, Washington Junior High School and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
On January 12, 1957, Rose was united in marriage to Edward Huetten, Jr. at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Before retiring to enjoy life in Arizona, Rose used her organizational and communication skills during her employment. She started at Abbott Laboratories, then American Motors, St. Catherine’s Hospital, Kenosha Public Library and lastly, with the library in Westosha Central High School.
Rose and Ed were blessed with three loving children, Valerie, Catherine and Edward. After raising their children in Kenosha, they moved to Paddock Lake and then to sunny Arizona. Upon Ed’s death, Rose returned to Kenosha to be with family and her church, St. Peter’s.
Rose was a member of various organizations including St. Peter’s Catholic Women’s League, Catholic Women’s Club of Kenosha, Woman’s Club Round Robin Bridge Group, Kenosha Senior Center. She loved to volunteer at the Anderson Arts Center and the Durkee Mansion. She also volunteered at Aurora Hospital. A source of pride was her position as the trustee/secretary for the Salem Community Library.
Rose’s true love was her family. Many camping trips with countless card games and fish frys throughout the summer months. She loved to travel throughout the states. Camping in Walt Disney World and visiting family in Florida.
She enjoyed hosting cookouts and birthday parties. She was an avid baker; enjoyed golfing in various leagues including the Bristol Oak Bunnies and couples bowling at Guttormsen’s downtown. Rose was also an avid dancer, square dancing with Ed, then as of late she line danced at the Kenosha Senior Center. She took pride in being a part of her grandchildren’s lives in Wisconsin and Arizona. And being a great-grandmother brought her much joy.
Left to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Valerie (Donald) Dowe and Catherine (Mark) Jensen; her six grandchildren, Jaclyn (Ryan) Berg, Dana (Kevin) Herman, Christopher (Karie) Jensen, Julie (Matt Hoppenstedt) Dowe, Carlee Heleine and Cheyanne Huetten; her great-grandchildren, Audrey and Evelynn Herman, Austin Berg, Hailey and Noelle Heleine; and her brother, Thomas (Johnny) Bentkowski.
