Robert A. Hermann

Robert “Bob” A. Hermann, age 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, December 7th, 2020.  In 1963, Bob met and married the love of his life, Dorothy (Knautz) Hermann, in Kenosha where they remained married and living for the next 57 years.  Bob was best known as a loving husband and father.  While many knew Bob for his love of classic cars and his volunteer work at Kenosha Bible Church, most knew Bob as a hard worker, teacher to many, and a loyal friend.  Bob worked for 30 years at Johns-Manville before working for Abbott Labs where he finished his career as a pipefitter and millwright.

Bob is survived by his wife Dorothy; children Sandra (Scott) of Denver, CO, Martin (Brenda) Hermann of Mount Dora, FL, and Christina (JD) Harris of Lindstrom, MN; grandchildren Alyson, Aaron, and Abbey Selin, Mara (Gavin) Hamann and Ethan Harris.

Services for Bob are pending based on current government requirements.

Thoughts for Robert A. Hermann;

  • I have only known Bob for seven years. We are relatives of the same relative. I only saw Bob and Dorothy at family gatherings and during the holidays but their kindness and spirit soon made them a part of my family. I will miss Bob, a special man.

  • Ken & Darlene Rokusek says:

    We met Bob and Dorothy 50 years ago at Kenosha Bible Church. We became friends and had fun get-togethers as our families grew up. We remember him as the Candy Man at the church picnics. He was a great guy and will be missed!

    • Dorothy Hermann says:

      Thank You Darlene and Ken for your kind words – Yes, you were the first couple we met at KBC and talked about our times together many many times – It’s been hard without my Bob I miss him so much but know our Lord will help me through

  • Tim & Laura Chevrette says:

    Dorothy, We are so saddened by the death of “Mr. Hermann”. Every time Tim walks past his door in his shop he thinks about him. When Tim retired, he gave Tim a wing window and a book. It hangs by his door in his shop. He was a very nice man. He will be remembered very fondly by us. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

    • Thank You Laura and Tim – I wondered if you had heard about Bob – I’m sorry but I just found out there were some comments on here. Thank You for your kind words – He loved Tim and talked about him many times – My heart is so broken and sad – “my Bob” was my rock and I will never stop missing him, however, like Bob did – I have the Lord as my Savior and I know He will help me through this. I do remember the “wing window” and thought it was a funny thing to give Tim (must be a car thing)😀 If you see me out and about stop me to talk a bit.
      Thanks Again, Dorothy
