Richard “Rick” R. Parker Jr.

Richard R. Parker Jr. (Rick), 64, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on November 9th, 2023 at Hospice House (Hospice Alliance) in Pleasant Prairie.

Born in Pensacola, Florida to Geraldine (Marth) and Richard Parker Sr., where he attended schooling and then moved to and settled in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Rick drove cab and also was a truck driver and then transitioned into maintenance for First United Methodist Church, St. James and Saxony Manor which is what he retired doing. He married June (Patterson) Parker on May 25th,1982.

Rick was an avid musician and enjoyed playing guitar. He was known to spend his free time attending live music shows, fishing, and of course watching his favorite Wisconsin sports teams, the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. Rick was also a savvy pool/billiards player and enjoyed hunting and everything outdoors.

Rick enjoyed life, he was a devoted family man and made the most of any time spent with his wife, son, and grandchildren. Making memories was by far the most important thing to do in life for Rick and he showcased that daily. This was all visible through the lens of any camera he could get his hands on. His collection of images paints a picture worth a million words. His laugh was contagious, his humor was second to none and he chose to always be of help to any that needed it. Devoted, by definition and by action, he was wonderful friend, husband, father and teacher. He will be missed by many and his impact on lives everywhere will be cherished forever.

Rick is survived by his loving wife June Parker, his son Sean (Shannon) Parker, and his step mother Bonnie Parker. His siblings Tiffany (James) Cain, Lisa (Guy) Spencer, Michael (Beth) Parker and Wendy Parker. His grandchildren Jianna, Liam, and Rowan, whom he adored. His uncle Alan (Tracy) Marth, and his niece Miranda Parker and nephew Jesse, as well as many more extended families all over the country, as well as his best buddy, and doggo, Zody.

Rick is preceded in death by his mother Geraldine Krueger, father Richard Parker Sr., step father Randolph Krueger, his sisters Sheila Landt and Jennifer Krueger and his uncle Junebug.

A private celebration of life will be held in June of 2024 with immediate family per his final wishes, there will be no formal ceremony. Memorials are suggested to be made in donations to the COPD Foundation in his name.

The Parker family would like to give thanks and appreciation to Hospice Alliance for their compassion and care during his final days, and extra level of appreciation to Casey Funeral Home, for the understanding, compassion, patience and help with his final preparations.
