Phyllis Wachowiak

      Phyllis Irene (Doherty) Wachowiak, 78, formerly of Chicago, IL, Kenosha, WI, and Winthrop Harbor, IL, passed away on December 14, 2020 in Mesa, AZ.

      Phyllis was born in Chicago, IL to George and Irene Doherty on February 21, 1942. After moving to Wisconsin in 1952, she graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in Kenosha, WI. She married William Wachowiak in 1965 in Zion, IL. She worked at Warwick in Zion, IL, Cherry Electric in Waukegan, IL and the Piggly Wiggly in Zion, IL.

      Phyllis is preceded in death by her father, George; mother, Irene; brother, James; brother, William; and sisters-in-law, Ann, Eileen and Mary Doherty.

      Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Gayle and Patricia Wachowiak; and nieces and nephews.

      A Memorial Mass for Phyllis will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 30^th,2021 at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church (2020 – 91^st Street) with inurnment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass.
