Christopher Morgan DeHaven

Christopher DeHaven, age 51, a resident of Kenosha, died August 1st, 2021, at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. Chris was born on June 12th, 1970 in Kenosha to Morgan and Suzanne (Upright) DeHaven. He attended local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1988. Chris also attended Gateway and U.W. Parkside for bartending and management. He enjoyed music, learning new instruments and playing in his band, the Roosevelt Dolls. Chris was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers and enjoyed going to games. He also enjoyed golfing and tried to go every week as well as shooting pool. Chris loved being around people, that is probably why he loved being a bartender/manager at the Boathouse so much. He had a heart of gold and always went out of his way to make sure everyone was ok. His greatest joy was his daughter Harmony who he loved to do adventures with and have by his side.

He was preceded in death by, his mother, Suzanne Bojesen; a brother, Steven Bojesen and his niece, Aerielle McManus.

Chris is survived by, his step father, Mike (Beverly) Bojesen; his daughter, Harmony DeHaven; two brothers, Michael (Jackie) Bojesen Jr. and Morgan DeHaven; two sisters, Jennifer DeHaven and Katy DeHaven and his favorite nephew Kail Martin as well as other family and many friends.

A Celebration of Life for Chris is scheduled for 5 P.M till 7P.M on Thursday August 12th 2021 at the Boat House Pub and Eatery (4917-7th Avenue). There will be a lantern release at the lake shortly after.

The family would like to thank Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, especially the SICU for doing everything they could and a very big thanks to his nurse Crystal. Also, a special thank you to Jim Matzur, the Boat House and to Casey Family Options Funerals and Cremations.

We have known Chris for over 20 years. So sad to see him leave this life! We enjoyed knowing him and his sense of humor, serious talks, singing silly songs, the ups and downs of life, etc. We will miss you greatly, Chris and it won’t be the same without you. I hope you know how much you were loved! RIP Chris! We also send our love to Harmony and his family and friends. This is such a big loss to all his friends, family and co-workers. You will be missed. I am soo very grateful that our paths crossed and we were friends for soo many years. From playing pool @Koretz’, watching you play the drums, babysitting Harmony and when you would come see me when I was bartending. Our lives have lost some sunshine now that you’re gone., but NEVER forgotten. RIP my dear friend.

  • OH what wonderful memories I have of Chris and Lee at Ruffalo’s . Almost every Friday night my friend and I would be there. The boys were very entertaining. That’s where we met and then we followed him to the Boathouse. Such a very friendly bartender who really didn’t need to go to college to learn the trade, he was A Natural! I’m glad we met. Prayers for your family; such a Great loss! May You Rest In Peace Chris!

  • Chris,
Was a good guy through and through. Very talented very caring individual. Chris was a sensitive kind person who would give his shirt off his back if need be. Chris was a simple man, he didn’t need a lot of the latest things. He needed people. I was shocked to see his obit in the paper. The last time I saw Chris , he seemed so happy and things seemed to be going well for him. That was before the pandemic hit. I don’t know what might have occurred after that hit. Peace my friend!
    Mike
