Paul Milton Freitag

Paul M. Freitag, aged 78, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away surrounded by his family on July 6, 2026. He was born on November 25, 1947, in Kenosha to Phyllis (née Morton) and Milton Freitag.

Paul was educated in the Kenosha school system and attended Central High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he worked at Manville for several years before beginning a 30-year career with Chrysler. He retired in 1997 and remained very proud of his time there, often sharing stories and memories from those years.

What mattered most to Paul was his family. He was the devoted father of Deborah (Freitag) Schuster and Wally Freitag. Whether stopping by for a visit or making a phone call, he made a point to stay connected with his children every day. He was also a loving caretaker and companion to Wrigley, Wally’s dog, with whom he shared a special bond. Paul and Wrigley spent countless hours walking the neighborhood and visiting with neighbors along the way.

Family was the center of Paul’s life. He enjoyed many trips to Florida to visit his parents and looked forward to the many hunting and fishing trips Up North with his kids, brothers, and nephews. After retirement, he filled his days traveling from one family member’s home to another, visiting and lending a helping hand wherever it was needed. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with the people in his family.

Paul also had a passion for gambling and thoroughly enjoyed trips to Las Vegas. Many of those adventures were shared with his mother, Phylis, his sister, Sharon, and his brother, Marvin. He loved every minute of their trips. He was also an avid lottery player and was fortunate enough to enjoy several notable wins over the years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Homerun Restaurant, who welcomed Paul every day and shared many conversations about gambling adventures.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Deborah Schuster; his son, Wally Freitag; his grandchildren, Autumn, Kayla, Devin, and Stevie; his brothers, Carl, Mark, and Marvin; his nephews, Jim, Tim, Jason, Rich, Marvin, and Dale; his nieces, Chris, Lori, and Kim; He also has 5 great grandchildren; and his faithful companion, Wrigley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phylis and Milton Freitag; his brothers, Dale and Brad Freitag; his sister, Sharon Nevelier; his nephews, David and Dean; and his niece, Lynn.

Visitation and Service will take place at Journey Church 10700 75th St, Kenosha, WI 53142 on July 18th, 2026. Visitation will be at 8:00AM. Service to follow at 9:00AM. Arrival at the Sunset Ridge Cemetery will be at 10:30AM following the Service.
