Mildred Lee Carr, age 65, of Kenosha, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Manor Care.
Mildred was born on April 30, 1951 in Florence, Mississippi to the late John Henry Smith Sr. and Magnora Moses-Smith. She was united in marriage with Willie Paul Carr who also preceded her in death.
Mildred spent many years working as an administrator at Baxter Medical Supply Company. She was a woman of God, and took great comfort in her sure Christian faith.
Mildred is survived by her son Dwayne (Tracy) Carr of Kenosha and her daughter Letonya “Toni” Carr of Atlanta, Georgia, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Keshia Carr, Jasmine Carr and Alexis Carr, all of Kenosha and by her great granddaughter Felicity Edwards. She is further survived by her brothers, John Henry Smith of Bryam, Mississippi, and Edward Smith of Jackson, Mississippi, and by her sisters Rosie Dudley of West Memphis, Arkansas, Doretha Moore of Jackson, Mississippi, Mae “Mary” Thompson of Waukegan, Illinois and Jessica Smith of San Antonio, Texas. Mildred will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews and her large extended family.
Preceding Mildred in death were her parents, her husband and her siblings, Curtis Smith, Tommie Smith and Jurite “Ann” Smith.
Mildred’s family in Kenosha would like to thank their family and friends for all the support and love. A special thank you to Dr. Pulla, Kindred Hospice and the staff at Manor Care for their many kindnesses.
Services will take place in Mississippi.
