Michael Weiss – In Loving Memory
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Henry Weiss, who departed this life on June 24th at the age of 73.
Michael was a proud father who will be remembered for his outgoing personality, his love of golf, scuba diving, water skiing, bowling, and for being a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. Born on March 9th, 1952, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, he developed a deep appreciation for sports and outdoor activities that stayed with him throughout his life.
Professionally, Michael was both entrepreneurial and forward-thinking. In the early 1980s, he founded Emission Possible in response to emerging emission control regulations across the Midwest. He later went on to launch Dyno Test Inc., a small Kenosha-based company specializing in carburetors. Michael was known for his technical expertise, warm demeanor, and dedication to customer service.
Beyond his professional life, Michael gave generously of his time as a volunteer, contributing to this community through the Kiwanis Club, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Kemper Center.
He is survived by his sons, Bart and Brett; his daughter, Amanda; his 6 grandchildren, his brother, Cole; and his sister, Robin.
A visitation with the family will be held on Monday, June 30th at the Kemper Center’s Founders Hall, located at 6501 3rd Avenue in Kenosha, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with a memorial ceremony to follow at 2:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend and pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Kenosha.

Cleta Skovronski says:
How do I say goodbye to a man who was, at various times, my date, my Plus One, but always a friend, for over 60 years? He was kind, generous, and always willing to lend a hand… I will miss his smile. I hope he is at peace, having a nice tall Long Island in heaven. My heart has a big hole in it now. RIP, Mike.
Kathleen Becker says:
I was surprised to hear about Michael’s passing, or should I say “carburetor man” as I would say to my husband. He would be the person Dick would see when he had car issues. They would spend time chatting about various topics but he would be there for him and each other during their lifetimes. Peace to you Michael.
Larry Fonk says:
Mike fixed the carb on my 1963 Corvette and always gave me sound advice if I called him or stopped by his shop on 60th Ave. May he rest in peace with his old pal Roger Selner……. Both of them were unique !!!!
Dr. Brad Smith says:
My very profound condolences to all of Mike’s family and friends. I first met Mike through our former membership on the Kenosha Symphony Orchestra Association board of directors. This friendship continued to evolve in later years when I joined our local ROMEO (“Retired Old Men Eating Out”) dinner meeting club, of which Mike had been a long-time member. Several years ago Cole started attending our dinner meetings along with Mike. I had met Robyn when I had been attending U.W.-Parkside. I never met any of Mike’s children or grandkids, nor his parents.
Mike was indeed THE “carburetor man” (as Ms. Becker characterized him as). He repaired the carb for our late father’s 1951 Hudson Hornet some years ago.
Mike will be missed. Rest In Peace.
