Matthew B. Boyer

Matthew B. Boyer, 45, passed away unexpectedly on Monday August 15, 2022. He was born February 27, 1977 to Carl Boyer and Patricia (Rosko) Draeger and lived his entire life in the Silver Lake area.

He attended Riverview Elementary school in Silver Lake and Wilmot HS. He was honored to be one of a very few students to make 4 years of perfect attendance.

He was blessed with having one daughter, Katlyn Boyer. She blessed him with two grandchildren, Maceigh and Edward. The three of them were the loves of his life. They will miss their Papa as they called him.

On March 14, 2015 he was united in marriage to Sarah DeCarlo.

He loved having campfires and being by the Fox River to watch the beautiful sunsets. He spent almost all of his free time with his family. He worked many years as a Dental Lab Technician.

He is survived by his wife Sarah, his mom, Patricia Draeger, his father Carl Boyer, his brother Jason (Nicole), his daughter Katlyn and of course his grandchildren Maceigh and Edward. He is also survived by his Aunt Marilyn Rosko and many other friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bruno and Corrine Rosko, Leo and Lillian Boyer, his Uncle Robert Rosko, stepfather Dale Draeger and many others.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.

    Pat and family of Matthew,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss, and so young. I knew Matthew when he was just a wee one, and was good friends of his mother as he was growing up. My love and prayers go out to all of you.
    Sincerely
    Donna (Joerndt) Deuster

  • Hi Pat,
Mike told me this morning about Matt’s passing. I just wanted to reach out and let you know how sad I am for you in this time of terrible loss. We have lots of fun and funny memories with the boy’s growing up, time passes so fast. My thoughts, love and prayers are with you.
    Love always,
    Deb Mayo

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. May God wrap his arms around you and comfort you during this sorrowful time.

  • Unfortunately I never got to meet Matt in person, but unbeknownst to him he helped me get through some pretty heavy times just by being himself online. I hope I won’t offend anyone by taking place and posting here, but Matt was a fantastic person, and the world is a smaller place without him. My condolences to all his loved ones.

I hope I get to meet you someday Matt, someway, somehow.
    Your Scandinavian buddy.
    Mattias

  • How about you get your facts straight before you speak. That’s not why he killed himself. But you wouldn’t know because you don’t know my father. Grow the fuck up and get your facts straight. Seeing as you commented this, I can only imagine you don’t have a good record yourself. Go straighten your life up before starting shit with someone else’s family who you didn’t know. Thanks.

  • You want to continue fighting with me on YouTube you can go ahead. But what you’re not going to do is come to a funeral homes webpage and talk ill about the dead. Have some respect not only for his family, but also for your self and just shut up. Don’t try to use big boy words when you aren’t even man enough to use your real name.

Thank you so much Jack for your kind words. I know you two were close for many years. As for his services, there were really none! I was in Phoenix, AZ when it happened so we had to wait until I got back home. It was a very difficult time as my sister was dying and I was the only immediate family left to take care of everything. I got home after she passed away. Matt was
      cremated. Thank you again!
