Marvin P. Fedders (1939-2017)

Marvin Fedders

 

          Marvin P. Fedders, age 78, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 5th, 2017.

 

          Marvin was born in Racine on January 4th, 1939 to the late Anton and Ethel (Ankersen) Fedders. On April 23rd, 1960, he married Sharon Middlecamp at Gethsemane Lutheran Church.

 

          Marvin was employed as a machinist at Twin Disc Co., retiring in June of 1992. He stayed in touch as a member of the Twin Disc 20 Year Club.  He was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir.  He also sang with the Racine Dairy Statesmen barbershop chorus and the Church Singers for over 30 years, along with involvement in the YMCA Boys choir.  He enjoyed golfing and making custom golf clubs.

 

          Marvin is survived by his loving wife Sharon M. Fedders of Racine, his son Steve (Ann) Fedders of New Richmond, grandchildren Alison (Brent) Staples, Alanna Gauthier, Rory Gauthier, and great grandchildren Elenore and Orion.

 

          He’s also survived by his daughter Sandy (Steve Koepke) Sheckles of Franksville, grandchildren Carly (Rick Sorenson Sr.) Sheckles, Emma Sheckles, Mark Sheckles, and great grandchildren Jayce, Athena, Ricky Jr. and Nash.

 

He is further survived by his former daughter-in-law Bobbie (Todd Turecek) Fedders, and grandson Connor.

 

Also surviving Marvin are his two brothers, Harlan (Jacque) Fedders of Keshena and Robert Fedders of Mason City, Iowa, as well as many other relatives and friends including his four-legged friend Charlie.

 

          Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, his son Mark Fedders, sisters Eileen (Jim) Bjerregaard, Helen (Hank) Madsen, and Bea (Warren) Andersen.

 

          A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11:00AM at Faithbridge Church in Racine. (212-11th street; formerly Evangelical United Methodist Church). Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of services. Burial will take place at a later date.

 

          Marvin’s family would like to extend sincere appreciation to Hospice Alliance for their compassionate care.
