Markeeta Elise Walker, age 12 a resident of Kenosha, died Tuesday September 3, 2013 at her residence.
Markeeta was born on July 23, 2001 to Terrell Walker and Natasha Williams. Markeeta attended Kenosha Unified School District, Brass Elementary and Lincoln Middle Schools. Markeeta had numerous friends and family that cherished her presence. She brought a smile to the people she came in contact with. She loved school and the friends she played with at recess or sat next to in class. She was great at many things but mainly she enjoyed going to church and participating in ministries such as praise dancing, singing in the choir, and youth ministry. Markeeta will certainly be missed but always remembered.
Markeeta is survived by her mother and father, siblings Niagra Williams, Trayvon-Trell Walker, Rahsaan Waterford, Raonie Waterford, Niomi Waterford, Takair Walker and Treveon Banks. She is also survived her maternal grandparents Beverly Williams and Lawrence Nelson and her paternal grandparents Sheila Walker and Johnnie Crump. She is further survived by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 12, 2013 at 11:00AM at New Brighter Day Baptist Church. (1225-25th Avenue; HWY E west of 22nd Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Thursday at the church from 9:00AM until the time of services. Burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
