Marianne Rarick, age 82, a resident of Kenosha, died on Sunday June 7, 2015 at Hospitality Manor.
Marianne was born October 31, 1932 in St. Paul Minnesota to Fred and Mable King. She was a 1956 graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Milwaukee. On November 2, 1957, she was united in marriage with Harry Rarick. Marianne and Harry were blessed with five children.
Marianne improved the lives of hundreds of people through her work as a registered nurse. She worked at St Catherine’s Hospital retiring in 1986 and then continued her work with Hospice Alliance, from where she retired in 1998. Marianne was a member of CrossWay Community Church and was active with Gideons International.
Marianne loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His Word, the Bible. Marianne loved serving others in many ways throughout her life including cooking, praying, encouraging, counseling, nursing and caring for many children. She was known for her sweet and gentle spirit as well as her respect for others, which she showed by putting their needs above her own. In turn, she was loved and respected by many.
She had many interests; sports, music, gardening, reading, Bible study, watching movies and passionately supporting her husband, children and grandchildren.
Marianne is survived by her loving husband Harry of Kenosha and by her five children; James (Helen) Rarick of Chicago IL, Thomas (Wendy) Rarick of Wheaton IL, Timothy (Gina) Rarick of Maisons-LaFitte France, Susan Mueller of Kenosha, and Jane (Douglas) Lee of Kenosha. She is additionally survived by her beloved grand children; Jennifer Lee, Carrie Lee, Jon Lee, Ben Lee and Mark (Laena) Mueller, Hannah Rarick, and Samuel Rarick and by her great grandchildren Quinn and Rhys Mueller as well as her sister Beverly Ogilvie of St. Paul MN.
Marianne was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 13th 2015 at 5:00PM at Crossway Community Church. (13905-75th Street; or just west of I-94 on HWY 50) Visitation with the family will be on Saturday at the church from 2:00PM until the time of services. Burial will take place on Monday June 15th 2015 at 2:00PM at Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove WI.
In lieu of flowers memorials to either Crossway Community Church or Hospice Alliance would be appreciated.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospitality Manor and to Hospice Alliance staff for the compassionate care they gave Marianne through her time with them.
