Margaret Sniegowski (1936 – 2012)

Margaret M. Sniegowski, age 76 a resident of Kenosha, died Monday October 8th 2012 at the United Hospital Systems Kenosha Medical Center Campus. Born on February 17th 1936 in Milwaukee WI, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Leona (Frey) Burbach.

On September 21st 1957 she married Leon V. Sniegowski.

She worked for many years as an accountant in her own business and was also affiliated with the Arthur Anderson firm for many years as an independent contractor. She retired in the year 2000.

She attended mass for many years at St. Therese Catholic Church and had been a member of St. Marks Catholic Church. As a young woman, she was very active at St. Marks Catholic Church and was a founding member of their BINGO. She assisted the church in various bookkeeping forms, and was also active in the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed needle point and sewing. She also participated in various bowling leagues around the city. Family was always the most important part of life to her, and she especially loved the trips to their family’s cottage.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Leon V.; three sons John (Rita) of West Bend; Ted (Lisa) of Mt. Pleasant, Leon M. of Milwaukee; four grandchildren; Conrad, Laura, Mathieu and Steven; two brothers Charles (Eleanor) Burbach of Wauwatosa, Richard (Donna) Burbach of Plymouth, and one sister Joan (John) Wheiland of Grafton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Katherine Meyers and Carol Bath.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday October 12th 2012 at 11:00AM at St. Therese Catholic Church. (2020-91st Street) Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of mass. Burial will take place later.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church would be appreciated.
