Lloyd B. Higgins, age 68 a resident of Kenosha, died Friday October 26, 2018 at Kenosha Estates. Lloyd was born on September 24, 1950 in Kenosha to Vernon and Kathryn (Wilcox) Higgins. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. Lloyd served in the U.S. Naval Reserves. He loved fishing and everything to do with fishing including watching the fisherman coming in on the 50th street harbor. His love of fishing took him up to Alaska to the commercial fishing industry. He worked for 23 years until the Exxon Valdez disaster in 1989. Lloyd moved back to Kenosha in 2001 where his love of fishing still stayed with him till the end.
He was preceded in death by, his parents.
Lloyd is survived by, four brothers, Robert Higgins of Kenosha, Dale Higgins of Crivitz, Curtis (Patricia) Higgins and Gerald Higgins both of Racine; three sisters, Melodine Borom, Aleita (Mike) Antongiorgi both of Racine and Elaine Higgins of Zion, IL; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Racine. (3350-Lathrop Ave. (intersection of Lathrop and Taylor.) Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday at the church from 10:30 AM until the time of services. Burial will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park in Kenosha.
