Eugenie Preston

Eugenie T. Preston, age 89, of Kenosha passed away on November 6, 2018 at Brookside Care Center with her family by her side. Eugenie was born on February 12, 1929 in Minneapolis, MN to James and Mabel (Bushey) Miller. She graduated from Edison High School and attended the University of Alaska. Eugenie married Donald C. Preston on May 28, 1949 in Kodiak, AK. The couple moved to Kenosha in 1950 where Eugenie worked as an Independent Insurance Agent for many years. She was an active member at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, where she was on the parish council and past president of the Christian Women. Eugenie was active in the Boy and Girl Scouts of Kenosha. She was also a past president of the Kenosha Art Association, the Woman’s Club of Kenosha and the Insurance Women of Kenosha. Eugenie enjoyed everything to do with art but her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by, her parents; husband, Donald Preston; her daughter, Roseanna Preston; a brother, James Miller and her sister Marie.

Eugenie is survived by, three sons, Scott (Colleen) Preston, Gary (Kim) Preston and Bruce (Doug Ignatius) Preston; two daughters, LuAnn (Bruce) Frederick and Suzanne Preston; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Scott, Russell, Jonathan, Jamie, Daniel, Cassie, Beau, Anna and Asa; 14 great grands as well as other family and friends.

A Memorial Mass for Eugenie will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church (7117 – 14th Avenue). A visitation with the family will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. An inurnment will take place on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Green Ridge Cemetery at 9:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Mark’s Catholic Church would d be appreciated.
