She graduated from Elk Grove High School in Elk Grove Village, Illinois in 1973. On June 5th, 1978, she married William Hood. The two remained faithfully married until his passing in 2017. Kim spent many years as the Office Manager of Kumon Math & Reading Center in Naperville, Illinois, where she worked with her sister Pam. She also worked as a server at Café Buonaro’s Italian Restaurant in Naperville for over 20 years, where she met many loving friends. To my dear cousins, Kim’s children and grandchildren: my heartfelt love and sympathies go out to each one of you. I am so grateful that Kim and I stayed close through the years. Kim was, as all of you are, an integral part of my life. Many cherished memories, family get togethers, and summer afternoons playing Monopoly on the porch. In later years we enjoyed talking about our children and grandchildren and I feel I have gotten to know each of you. She loved you all so much. God Speed Kim, I love you and will miss you, your Cuz Amy.
