Katherine Denise (Konarski-King) Aldrich

Katherine Denise (Konarski-King) Aldrich, 64 of Kenosha, Wisconsin entered eternal
rest on September 22, 2026, leaving behind the love she shared, the lives she touched,
and her spirit that will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved Kathy dearly.
Though Kathy left this earth far too soon, her memory will be forever cherished by
beloved partner of twenty years, the love of her life and devoted companion Robert
Aldrich Jr. The years they shared were filled with love, laughter, travels and a deep bond
like no other, that meant so much to them both.
Katherine’s joy was raising her children whom she loved deeply, each holding a special
place in her heart. Being their mother was one of the most meaningful parts of her life.
Her children, Priscilla (Keith) King and Jeramiah (Jill) King were an important part of
who she was, and the life she devoted to loving and guiding them became an enduring
part of their family story. Kathy is survived by grandchildren Elise, Ryley (Daniela), Rowan, and Logan,
and great granddaughter Addy, aunt Eula, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Kathy will always be remembered by her sisters, Karen Konarski and Kimberley (Kelly)
Eckles. Their memories of Kathy are as individual as the relationships they shared with
her, each reflecting their own special moments and connections. Preceded by her brother,
Richard Robert Konarski, she had deeply missed his presence.
Affectionately and tenderly named Kat by her loving partner Rob, Kathy and Kath by her
family and friends. She was the fourth child of her late parents Richard and Priscilla (nee
Lynn) Konarski. Born September 5, 1962, Kathy was raised in Peterson Woods and
Humboldt Park, Chicago, Illinois neighborhoods. Baptized at Mount Calvary Lutheran
Church and confirmed at Bethel Evangelical Church. Attended Minnie Mars Jamieson
Grade School, Bethel Lutheran Middle School and Foreman High School.
Kathy a child of the baby boomer generation was filled with simple pleasures and
everyday adventures. She enjoyed riding her Stingray bike throughout Legion Park and
venturing over the Chicago River wooden bridge to nearby 7-eleven for Slurpee’s. Other
past time favorites were skating on the ice rink built by her grandfather, swimming at
Mather Park District and the Springfield Tank. Memorable family vacations included
camping amongst the roaming cows at a farm in Baraboo, climbing Mt. Baldy dunes of

Michigan City, steps from her grandparent’s cottage, and waterskiing, horseback riding
and snowmobiling in St. Germain.
Early on Kathy’s work ethic first begun at her grandfather’s real-estate office Lynn &
Son, earning 10 cents Saturday mornings. Later she held various positions at Zayre,
Dunkin Donuts, Labelmaster (American Labelmark Co.), Physician’s medical office
(Northwestern Memorial Hosp.), and International House of Wine and Cheese. Finally,
her calling rang and led Kathy to a two decade long career as a Courier for Chicago
Messenger. While during a time in her life when balancing work and raising two
children, was no small task, met each responsibility with strength and determination.
In retirement years, Kathy embraced her love of antiques and vintage treasures becoming
a vendor known as Sassy K. Leasing booth space at Piccadilly’s, occasionally
showcasing her finds at flea markets and hosting garage sales. Kathy’s happy place was
walking along beaches and foothills searching for treasures. She truly had a green thumb,
a passion for bringing nature’s beauty indoors and transformed her home into a sanctuary.
Kathy embraced the simple things, the everyday moments at a pace that brought her
happiness and fulfillment.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Kathy, knew the warmth of her heart. She will
be deeply missed and remembered forever by all who were fortunate enough to share in
her life.
