Joanne Mele

      Joanne Mele, age 79, passed away on November 1, 2021 at Froedtert South Kenosha Medical Center. Visitation will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 from 9:30-11am at the Kemper Center Founders Hall, 6501 3rd Avenue, with a religious service to follow at 11am. After the service, friends and family are invited to join the procession to St. George Catholic Cemetery for burial services.

       Joanne was born on October 23, 1942 in Kenosha WI to Mario and Irma Rizzo. She went to high school at Kenosha High School and graduated in 1960. She was married to Nicholas Mele from 1960 to 1982. They had 3 children – David, Danine and Michelle. She is survived by her 2 daughters Danine Hayes and Michelle Knudson and her 7 grandchildren Nicholas (27), Zachary (24) , Samuel (21) Carina (20), Casey (19), Brady (16) and Trey (11).

     Joanne was a successful entrepreneur beginning her career in home interior design as owner of Lasting Creations by Joanne and later as owner of Clicknsave Auto Parts LLC and Courtesy Auto Parts in Kenosha. She was a strong supporter of personal liberties and individual rights with a large following on Facebook.

     In addition to being a successful business woman, Joanne was a vivacious woman with a zest for life. Her passions included dancing, listening to live bands, healthy eating, self-healing with nutrition and vitamins, playing poker and spending time with friends and family. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and was actively involved in their lives. She left this earth too early leaving behind fond memories to all those she touched. She will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

    She WILL be missed and not forgotten. Although I only knew Joanne for less than 2 years, we became close friends. We both enjoyed dancing and live music. We had lots of good times and good memories for that short time. R.I.P.
