Thoughts for Jeffrey R. Maurer;

  • Jeff, thank you for always being so nice to me, even though everyone said you were an asshole, I’d never say you were an asshole. You and Shelly are and forever will be my favorite power couple. You are so loves. And we are all so hurt you are gone. The port won’t be the same. Our group of misfits won’t be the same. Rest easy and in peace my friend. Give us a lil sign here and there. We are going to miss the heck out of you. Take care of miss Shelly from up there <3 I'll see you on the other side. Say hi to my grandpa for me. And My grandma and papa everyone ect. You guys will get along great. Much love <3

  • I hope your rest is easy. You made a lot of those around you’s lives more positive. You’ll be missed Jeff, until the next time…

  • Kevin Cunningham says:

Jeff was a good man. He was smart, had a quick wit and great sense of humor. The guy bowled a 300, shot a hole in one and was lights out throwing darts. We both had an affinity with history so it was always interesting to speak with him on the subject. I’m proud to have called him my friend. They say that friends are like points of light in one’s life and when one passes our world becomes a little darker. Unfortunately, my life became a little darker when Jeff moved on from this world. Rest in peace my friend.

  • Jeff Stevens says:

I agree so much with Kevin Cunningham (above) so poignantly stated- a light has definitely gone dark. Being s far away so long, my heart hirt when I read of Jeff’s passing. My heart is with Shelly, family and friends. I have lots of great memories with Jeff, including he and I being Al Molinaro’s “bodyguards for a day… my friends at home are leaving like grains of sand falling from my hands- so sorry to hear this and so sorry for all close to Jeff. See you on the other side, jeff.

  • Tom Hessefort says:

We are so sorry for your family’s loss. Tom enjoyed working alongside Jeff at Triangle all those years, playing softball together and playing Hearts in their down time.
    Rest in Peace Jeff

So sorry to see this. We will missthis gentle soul. What a nice guy. We enjoyed Jeff trying to share his “dart knowledge “ with us. Also, just being a friendly face in the port. Cheers to Jeff!! Hugs!!

  • I grew up with Jeff from elementary to high school. It was a pleasure to be his best man in his wedding to wife Shelly. He was a great guy and we had fun in our young years. He will be missed. Always a pleasure running into him and bringing up new events in our lives. Thanks Jeff for being a friend all these years. Enjoy heaven

  • Coach! Thanks for the memories – i can’t think of St George basketball without thinking of you and Dan… and running struggles!! I will miss running into you. Thinking of you Shelley.

  • I left messages on Facebook but heres another as I keep on remembering old times!
Jeff had an adventurous soul……he talked me into taking SCUBA lessons together with the Explorer Scouts……bought wet suits & remember body surfing in Lake Michigan!
Another time, on the 4th of July we rode bikes down to where the fireworks were shot off…..a popcorn stand was there & next thing you know, Jeff got us hired to work that night! It was a ton of fun being in the action of the 4th!
Another time Jeff got us volunteering at the Knights of Columbus Corn Booth at the Kenosha County Fair! Great fun!
So many More stories could fill an Encyclopedia as Jeff was ” the man” and made things happen!
Wish we had more time for “Maurer Power!!”

  • Jerry & Louise Wood says:

Our deepest sympathies go out to you and Robert. Jeff has been in our thoughts and prayers for weeks. There are no words to take away the pain & sorrow. May you find comfort in knowing he is at peace.

  • Lori Miskovic says:

My sympathy to Shelley and family. I met Jeff at Washington Jr. High. He was always kind. And then I met Shelley, his Finlander wife . You were one of my favorite couples. You could tell you truly liked each other. Love too, but sometimes like is harder. Please call me Shelley, if you need anything. I know how hard this is to go through. One day you will smile more than cry when you think about him. You have a new guardian angel in heaven.
